## Feature 1: Excel-Style Bulk Editor

### What it does
Edit multiple products at once in a spreadsheet-like interface. Copy and paste prices directly from Excel or Google Sheets!

### How to use

1. **Login as admin** → Go to **"Bulk Editor"** tab
2. Click **"Load All Products"** to populate the grid
3. **Edit cells directly** - just click and type
4. **Copy/paste from Excel:**
   - Select cells in your Excel invoice
   - Press Ctrl+C to copy
   - Click in the bulk editor cells
   - Press Ctrl+V to paste
5. Click **"Save All Changes"** when done

## Feature 2: Invoice Upload & Auto-Parse

### What it does
Upload your supplier invoice (image or PDF) and the system will:
- Extract text using OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
- Find product names and prices automatically
- Match them to your existing products
- Let you confirm and apply the new prices

### How to use

1. **Login as admin** → Go to **"Invoice Upload"** tab
2. Click **"Choose File"** and select your invoice (JPG, PNG, or PDF)
3. Click **"Parse Invoice"**
4. **Wait 20-30 seconds** for OCR processing
5. **Review the results:**
   - System shows matched products with confidence score
   - Green checkboxes = automatically matched
   - You can manually select products for unmatched items
   - Edit prices if OCR read them incorrectly
6. Click **"Apply These Prices"** to update your products

5. You confirm and apply

## Feature 3: Enhanced Product Fields

### New Fields Added

Every product now has these additional fields:

#### **Cod Produs** (Product Code)
- Your internal product code
- Example: `CH001`, `DARK-70-500G`
- Searchable and sortable

#### **Cod Producător** (Manufacturer Code)
- The manufacturer's product code
- Example: `MAN-GR-001`
- Useful for reordering from supplier

#### **Bulk Products & Auto-Conversion**
When you create a bulk product, the system automatically creates TWO products:

**Example:**
You add: "Dark Chocolate 70%" as a bulk product
- Weight: 1 kg
- Pieces per kg: 10

**System automatically creates:**
1. **Bulk Product:**
   - Name: "Dark Chocolate 70%"
   - Weight: 1 kg
   - Type: Bulk (10 buc/kg)

2. **Individual Product:**
   - Name: "Dark Chocolate 70% (Individual Piece)"
   - Weight: 0.1 kg (1 kg ÷ 10 pieces)
   - Type: Unit
   - Linked to bulk product

**Why this is useful:**
- Customers can order by piece OR by kg
- Pricing stays synchronized
- Inventory tracking for both bulk and individual sales

### How to Create Bulk Products

1. Add Product → Fill in name, codes, weight
2. **Check "Bulk Product"** checkbox
3. Enter **"Pieces per Kg"** (e.g., 10)
4. Save
5. System creates both bulk and individual products automatically!

### Product List Now Shows:
- Cod Produs
- Cod Producător
- Product Type (Bulk / Unit / Individual)
- Pieces per kg (for bulk products)
- All cost components

### Workflow 1: Receive New Invoice via Email

**Old way:** (Manual, slow)
1. Open invoice PDF
2. Read each product price
3. Login to system
4. Edit each product one by one
5. Update 20 products = 20 minutes

**New way:** (Automated, fast)
1. Login → Go to Invoice Upload
2. Upload PDF
3. Review matches (20 seconds)
4. Click "Apply Prices"
5. Update 20 products = 2 minutes!

### Workflow 2: Update Prices from Excel Spreadsheet

**Scenario:** Supplier sends you an Excel file with new prices

**Steps:**
1. Open supplier Excel file
2. Select the price column (Ctrl+C to copy)
3. Login to admin → Bulk Editor tab
4. Load products
5. Click in the "Purchase Cost" column
6. Paste (Ctrl+V)
7. Prices populate automatically
8. Save All Changes
9. Done!

### Workflow 3: Add Bulk Product with Individual Variant

**Scenario:** You import "Milk Chocolate Bars" in 1kg bags, but customers want to buy individual bars

**Steps:**
1. Add Product → Enter details:
   - Cod Produs: `MILK-001`
   - Cod Producător: `GR-MILK-500`
   - Name: "Milk Chocolate Bars"
   - Weight: 1 kg
   - **Check "Bulk Product"**
   - Pieces per Kg: 20 (1kg bag contains 20 bars)
2. Save

**System automatically creates:**
- **Bulk:** "Milk Chocolate Bars" (1 kg, 20 buc/kg)
- **Individual:** "Milk Chocolate Bars (Individual Piece)" (0.05 kg each)

- Customer can order: "I want 5 individual bars" OR "I want 2 kg bulk"
- Pricing stays in sync

## Technical Details

### Invoice Parsing Algorithm

1. **Text Extraction:**
   - PDF files: Uses `pdf-parse` library
   - Images: Uses `tesseract.js` OCR engine

2. **Price Detection:**
   - Regex pattern: `/€?\s*(\d+[.,]\d{2})/g`
   - Finds all currency amounts in the text

3. **Product Matching:**
   - Levenshtein distance algorithm
   - Calculates string similarity between invoice text and product names
   - Threshold: 30% similarity minimum
   - Higher scores = better matches

4. **User Review:**
   - Shows all matches with confidence scores
   - Allows manual correction
   - Edit prices if OCR misread

### Bulk Editor Implementation

- Uses HTML5 `contenteditable` for inline editing
- Real-time price calculation on blur
- Paste event handler for Excel compatibility
- Batch API call to update all products at once

### Bulk Product Auto-Generation

When creating a bulk product:

## Tips & Best Practices

### For Bulk Editor:
- ✅ **Always load products first** before editing
- ✅ **Save frequently** - changes aren't auto-saved
- ✅ **Export to CSV** regularly for backup
- ✅ **Use Tab key** to move between cells quickly
- ⚠️ **Don't refresh page** while editing (unsaved changes lost)

### For Invoice Upload:
- ✅ **Use clear, high-resolution scans** for best OCR results
- ✅ **Review all matches** - OCR isn't 100% accurate
- ✅ **Edit prices manually** if OCR misreads (e.g., reads "€3.80" as "€8.80")
- ✅ **Download raw text** to verify what was extracted
- ⚠️ **Invoice must be in readable format** - handwritten invoices won't work well

### For Bulk Products:
- ✅ **Set cod_produs carefully** - individual product gets "-IND" suffix
- ✅ **Pieces per kg must be accurate** for correct weight calculation
- ✅ **Check both products** after creation to verify weights
- ⚠️ **Don't delete bulk product** if individual product exists (will orphan it)

## Troubleshooting

### Bulk Editor Issues

**Problem:** Can't see products in grid
**Solution:** Click "Load All Products" button

**Problem:** Changes not saving
**Solution:** Check you clicked "Save All Changes" and wait for confirmation

**Problem:** Paste not working
**Solution:** Make sure you're clicking directly in the editable cell before pasting

### Invoice Upload Issues

**Problem:** OCR taking too long
**Solution:** Image files take 20-30 seconds for OCR - be patient
